The Belmond Collection

Choose the story you want to step into.

Belmond is not one kind of hotel. It is a collection of landmark city addresses, Mediterranean icons, Latin American journeys, Caribbean retreats and two intimate Botswana safari lodges. Farr helps you choose the right property—and connects it thoughtfully to the wider journey.

The best Belmond stay is not chosen by name alone, but by the place, pace and story that feel right for you.
01

A genuine sense of place

Each property is considered for its relationship with the city, coast, landscape or cultural site around it.

02

Heritage with personality

Historic buildings and celebrated addresses feel individual rather than preserved behind glass.

03

Journeys that connect

Hotels can be combined with rail and wider touring where the route adds meaning, without presenting transport products as hotels.

04

Food worth travelling for

Restaurant-led stays, local produce and dining occasions are checked for the exact property and dates.

05

Personal, precise planning

Season, access, room choice and the balance between hotel time and discovery are resolved before recommendation.

Frequently asked questions

Your questions, considered.

How many Belmond hotels and lodges are included?

Farr's current hospitality directory contains all 28 hotels shown in Belmond's official hotel directory plus its two bookable Botswana safari lodges, for 30 properties in total.

Are Belmond trains, boats and river cruises included as hotels?

No. Those products can form part of a wider itinerary, but they are kept outside the hotel directory so every property page represents a genuine hotel, resort, villa or safari lodge.

Is Cap Juluca currently open?

Belmond states that Cap Juluca is closed for the season and reopens on 10 October 2026. Farr confirms the live operating position before recommending a stay.

Why is Villa Margherita listed separately from Caruso?

Belmond lists and sells Villa Margherita as a distinct, separately bookable private-villa experience, so Farr preserves it as its own property while explaining the relationship with nearby Caruso.

Can Farr arrange a Belmond rail journey with the hotels?

Yes. Rail can be discussed as part of an itinerary where it improves the route, while the collection directory itself remains limited to bookable hospitality properties.

Which Belmond properties work well together?

Italy, Peru and Southern Africa offer especially strong combinations. The best route depends on season, journey time and the contrast you want between each stop.

Are the two Botswana lodges different?

Yes. Eagle Island Lodge is shaped by the waterways of the Okavango Delta, while Savute Elephant Lodge sits beside the Savute Channel in Chobe National Park. Wildlife patterns and season help guide the choice.
